S.P.S. design and pack to MoD standards, providing packaging solutions for the Army, Navy and Air Force. The MoD often insist upon a higher degree of protection for its products, it is essential that equipment arrives in a serviceable condition regardless of the physical, climatic and biological hazards faced when exporting to remote areas of the world. S.P.S are the only packaging company in the North East to have gained the Defence Packaging Authority’s DR14 qualification.
This is the only MoD recognised packaging design qualification, allowing S.P.S to work directly upon the MoD’s behalf.

S.P.S has an excellent record for fast, efficient case manufacture and supply without compromising quality, using a wide range of materials to suit all customer requirements.
Cases are manufactured in accordance with BS 1133 section 8 and BS EN ISO 9001.
With its design capability, S.P.S are constantly reviewing their products to fulfill current market demands and maintain a competitvie edge.
All timber used within the manufacture of cases or crates and throughout the packaging process is ISPM-15 treated, regardless of the proposed export destination.

When goods are shipped worldwide, the preservation and protection of customers products within the packaging is of paramount importance to counteract multiple handling and climatic changes, which could effect the condition of the goods enroute.
Hazardous goods packaging requires additional consideration when transporting nationally or exporting worldwide, in house expertise allows S.P.S to pack and provide all the necessary documentation for movement via air, land and sea. Protective packaging materials include:

• Foil bag climatic barriers, hermetically sealed and desiccated
• VCI papers (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors)
• Foam and felt protection
• Waterproof kraft bitumen lining papers
• Shrink wrap and stretch wrap
• PVC ‘blue cap’ lid liners
• Bubble wrap, tapes and banding materials

S.P.S offer the complete packaging and export solution, from providing decommisioning expertise, including movement and handling, packaging and preservation, including short, medium and long term storage options and finally despatch and export expertise door to door worldwide.
